It won’t be the last Firefox extension that I’ll spotlight. Firebug is the gold standard of web debugging and not only that, is now really a platform for all of sorts of IDE hooks to allow in-depth web application testing. It’s just fantastic. If you’re a web developer in any sense of the word, you should be using it.

Firebug easily outdoes Xylescope and also contends well with the css and javascript components of Coda and CSSEdit, but note that Firebug is not an IDE for web programming like the latter two are.
