It’s so exciting to see Linux games- I’ve purchased Humble Bundle 1 & 2 so far and there are some great games there. I was especially happy to see how we’re progressing to the point of having packages for the games. Two of them were .bin files that had to be marked executable and then ran fine with a GUI installer. But two of them had packages for various distros that made it a snap for Ubuntu Software Center to install them.
Yesterday the Mac App Store launched. Congrats to Ubuntu for beating them to it! And hopefully we’ll start seeing these games and other apps being sold in the Software Center for quick and easy distribution.
