If you missed it, the UI in Ubuntu continues to be refined and looks smoother all the time. The wallpaper looks great, and the grey chrome is slick. I do wish the scrollbars were a touch wider, but they’re ok. I continue to love the dark window border. The window buttons look has become a little more muted along with the status bar, which has a much more finished look to it.
On the one hand, it’s a little closer to a ‘mainstream’ OS look for the buttons and chrome, but has some distinct elements. I think it’s a great balance.
