The following are the measurements I got in browsers on the Windows 2000 platform. To get the measurements, I left the browsers in their standard configuration (if the user adds or removes a toolbar, that will affect these numbers). All measurements were taken by taking screenshots and actually measuring the area.

      • Screen Real Estate: 780×422
    • Screen Resolution: 1024×768
      • Screen Real Estate: 1004×590
  • Netscape 7.01
    • Screen Resolution: 800×600
      • Screen Real Estate: 785×444
    • Screen Resolution: 1024×768
      • Screen Real Estate: 1009×612
  • Internet Explorer 5.5
    • Screen Resolution: 800×600
      • Screen Real Estate: 780×452
    • Screen Resolution: 1024×768
      • Screen Real Estate: 1004×620
